You have already filed your return, please choose 'Revised' option message in online tax return

if u ever uploaded an incomplete/ wrongly filled up ITR 1 form at https://incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in and receive You have already filed your return, please choose 'Revised' option message  when u try to upload a new xml file all u have to do is -

go to the original xls file-
change to R (revised ) in the column Whether original or revised return? --->

If revised, enter Receipt no / Date - enter the acknowledgement no and date ( u can get them at my account > my return in https://incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in/portal/EndUserMenu.do?screen=myreturn   )

Return filed under section will be 16- u/s 139(5)

now calculate tax and generate xml from the xls file and upload..
